🌞 Welcome to Le Currents 2024! 🌞

Le Currents is thrilled to be hosting you at this year's festival which is set to be our greatest yet. Please see below a handy little guide to get you through this year's event and hopefully answer any questions you may have regarding the festival.

Address:

Owen Delany Park, Taupō, 3378

Summer is officially here and it’s not only our artists that are bringing the heat. Make sure you stay hydrated at LC, bring an empty drink bottle as there'll be FREE water scattered around the event. Wrap up and make sure you look out for the FREE Sun Bum sunscreen at the festival.

Don’t ruin yours or anyone else's days. Don’t show up intoxicated or you will not be allowed to enter and don’t be a dick. Simple stuff really. Our events are safe spaces where we have a zero tolerance for intimidation, harassment, unwelcome sexual intimidation, discrimination or prejudice on the grounds of age, disability, race, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, body size, or any other distinction. We do not accept intoxication or ignorance as an excuse for unacceptable behaviour.

Asking for Angela/ Andrew is a discreet way of telling our staff that you are feeling harassed in some way whilst at Le Currents. Our event and security staff know that if an attendee asks for Angela or Andrew, this means they are distressed and need assistance. Our event staff will discreetly get you to a safe space to support you in choosing how you would like to proceed. Please know that if you are being made to feel intimidated by anyone or anything while you are at Le Currents, you can report that to us anonymously.

By LAW, the ONLY forms of ID we can accept at Le Currents Check-in are:

  • A valid and current NZ Photo Drivers’ Licence

  • A valid and current NZ or overseas Passport

  • Kiwi Access Card

Our liquor licence does NOT allow BYO alcohol (bring your own alcohol) into the festival. There are a range of food and drink offerings available within the festival. You may bring in EMPTY reusable water-bottles to the festival. There are a number of FREE water refill stations located across the festival site. We’ve got some delicious food vendors and bars that have a wide range of food and non-alcoholic beverage options available for sale also.

Getting there:

Located in the beautiful Owen Delany Park, Taupō. Conveniently close to the town with bars, cafes & restaurants just a short drive away.

Le Currents is a celebration of Arts, Music & Culture.
We have carefully curated a fine selection of the hottest indie bands and thrown in a solid dose of disco. Taking place in Aotearoa's favourite lakeside holiday hotspot, Taupō. This promises to be a truly special festival, set in one of the most picturesque locations in New Zealand.
